Glenn Walter David Gray

October 15, 1942 — December 10, 2012

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Glenn W. David Gray, age 70, on Thursday December 13, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gene Treme officiating. Interment will follow at St. Marcellus Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Wednesday December 12, 2012 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday December 13, 2012 from 8:00AM until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gray died Monday December 10, 2012 at 9:30PM at his residence. Glenn was a member of the National Guard Reserve for 8 years and was an easy going, fun loving man who loved the outdoors and always had a joke to tell. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and coaching and playing baseball. He also enjoyed visiting and playing cards with his friends and going to the casino. Glenn appreciated life and spent much of his time riding across the countryside of Rynella.

Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 47 years, Louisa LeBlanc Gray, his daughter, Michelle DeRouen and husband Chad, all of New Iberia; his son, Glenn Charlie Gray of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Claire Evans Broussard and husband Trevor and Caleb Evans, all of New Iberia and Cooper Gray of San Antonio, TX; step-grandchildren, Breaton and Chelsea DeRouen of New Iberia and 4 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Walter Gray and Irene David Gray Robin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Evans, Trevor Broussard, James Lennie Zeringue, Barron Gray, Renford Broussard and Teddy Segura.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne LeBlanc, Chad DeRouen, Mark Comeaux, Justin Lagman, Aaron Lavergne and Breaton DeRouen.
