Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Willis John Segura, Age 78, at 2:00PM Thursday September 13, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mr. Segura died Monday September 10, 2012 at 11:05AM in a New Iberia health care facility. Mr. Segura enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked for Duhe Brothers Hope Plantation as an overseer for 19 years; an Iberia Parish School Bus driver for 30 plus years and he worked part time for Mosquito Control Contractors for 5 years. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley Gary Segura of Jeanerette; children, Larry Segura and wife Eula, Steve Segura and wife Brenda, Randy Segura, Sr. and wife Veronica, Clarence Segura, Sr, and wife Tonya, Glenda Babin and husband Ricky and Leona Segura all of Jeanerette, Lawrence Segura and wife Denise and Terry Segura and wife Beth all of Charenton and Bryan Segura, Sr. and wife Tammy of New Iberia; two brothers, Lester Segura and wife Shirley and Wayne Segura both of New Iberia; brother in laws, Leonie Gary and wife Irene of New Iberia, Wilson Gary and wife Dee of Broussard and Vinton Gary and companion Juanita of Erath; former son in law Joseph Babin, Sr. of Jeanerette; former sister in law, Ann Segura of New Iberia; 29 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiltz and Marie Miguez Segura; one brother, Milton Segura and a sister, Mary Lou LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Larry, Steve, Lawrence and Terry Segura, Randy Segura Sr., Clarence Segura Sr. and Bryan Segura Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek, Jason and Lance Segura, Randy Segura Jr., Clarence Segura Jr., Bryan Segura Jr., Scotty Babin, Joseph Babin Jr. and Brandy St. Germain.
