Youngsville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Estelle Esta Gerard Roy, 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. Fr. Jason Mouton will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. and will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until just prior to service time. Interment will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. A native of Youngsville, Mrs. Roy passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her home in Youngsville. She was a devoted wife and mother and was an active member of St. Anne Ladies Altar Society and Woodman of the World Camp #478. She was employed as a clerical worker for the University Medical Center in Lafayette for 26 years. Survivors include her three sons and their wives, Jerry and Barbara Roy of Lafayette, James and Marlene Roy of New Iberia and Ronnie and Sally Roy of Youngsville; her two daughters and their husbands, Jeanette and Roy Santiny of Grand Isle, LA, and Judy and Gerald Tut Santiny of Grand Isle, LA. She is also survived by her fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Roy; her parents, Cleus and Eliska Romero Gerard; her two brothers, Exal and Austin Gerard; and her two sisters, Olite G. LeBlanc and Rose G.
