Lucille Ann Taylor

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Edgar L. Taylor, the former Lucille Ann Gonsoulin, 90, on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim McGlasson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM until services.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Taylor died on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:04 AM at her sons residence in Baton Rouge. A longtime and devote member of Jehovah's Witnesses, she loved serving and witnessing in her religious ministry, loved working in her yard with her plants, trees and flowers and taking care of her dog Gigi.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn L. Taylor and his wife Tressie of New Iberia and Freddie D. Taylor and his wife Shirley of Baton Rouge; her grandchildren, Leif Taylor of Baltimore, Maryland, Lori Taylor, Leah T. Ignacio both of Los Angeles, California, Dean Taylor and Rachel Taylor both of Baton Rouge; her great grandchild, Hank Ignacio of Los Angeles, California; her brother, Andrew Gonsoulin of New Iberia; and her sisters, Jeanette Beb Richard of New Iberia and Florence Gossen of Carencro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Taylor; her parents, Ulysse Gonsoulin, Sr. and Edna Berard Gonsoulin; her granddaughter, Rochelle Taylor; her brothers, Ulysse Gonsoulin, Jr. and Daniel Gonsoulin, Sr.; and her sisters, Alice Estillette, Alma Kilchrist, Eunice Thibodeaux, Edna Hayes, Louise Kilchrist and Noelie Sweet Lastrapes.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
