Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Bac Nguyen, 89, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at St. Mary Magdelan Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Nguyen officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a rosary at 6:00PM; on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM with a rosary at 6:00PM; and on Saturday January 21, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

A native of Quang Tri, Vietnam and a resident of Abbeville Mrs. Nguyen died at 1:15PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She was a devoted Catholic who enjoyed going to church, cooking, and being with her family.

She is survived by eight children, Phuoc Vo, Phan Van Vo, Thi Vo, Duong Vo, Chuong Vo, Huong Vo, Dung Vo, and Viet Vo; and numerous grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vy Van Vo; and her parents, Di Van Nguyen and Qua Nguyen.

Serving as pallbearers will be Glen Vo, Stephen Vo, Tung Vo, Paul Pham, Tu Pham, and Phuong Nguyen.

David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
