Youngsville- A Christian Graveside Service will be held for Louis Eschete, Jr., 63, at 10:00AM on Friday February 03, 2012 at Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary, LA with Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, February 02, 2011 beginning at 6:00PM until 10:00PM. A native of Grand Isle, LA and a longtime resident of Youngsville, LA, Mr. Eschete passed away on Monday, January, 23, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. He was employed as a Blow Preventer Tech offshore, enjoyed training horses and was also an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the U. S. Army; where he served proudly, with honor, distinction and pride. Mr. Eschete received the National Defense Medal, M-14 and M-16 qualification metals, Viet Nam Service Metal, ARCOM metal and the DVM W/60 metal for his overseas and stateside service to our country. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Annette Touchet Eschete of Youngsville, LA; three children, Nadine E. Steele of Amite, LA, Nason Eschete and his wife, Rachael of Lafayette, LA and Nedra E. Norgaisse and her husband Omar of Amite, LA; grandchildren, Jacob Steele and his wife, Jessica of Youngsville, LA, Jude Eschete of Lafayette, LA, Rebecca Steele of Youngsville, LA, Gregory Eschete of Youngsville, LA, Donavan Eschete of Amite, LA, Destyni Knockum of Amite , Kaylen Mouton of Carencro, LA, Kaylyn Perry of Broussard, LA ;step-grandchildren, Cody Scott of Lafayette, LA and Augusta Scott also of Lafayette, LA; great-grandson, Billy James Bourque, III of Youngsville; one brother and seven sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Eschete, Sr. and Libby Bellot Eschete as well as two brothers. Serving as pallbearers will be Donavan Eschete, Gregory Eschete, Jacob Steele, Jude Eschete, Nason Eschete and Mark Eschete. Honorary pallbearers will be Edmond Camareelle, Omar Norgaisse and Raymond Riehoux. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in memory of Louis Eschete, Jr., to help defray funeral expenses, to Capitol One Bank .
