Abbeville - Funeral Services for Mrs. Rosa Mae Abshire Roche, 69, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 9:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A native of Abbeville and current resident of Kaplan, Mrs. Roche passed away at 5:50AM on Friday, January 27, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Alison Gary and husband James of Abbeville, Michael Roche and wife Donna of Abbeville and Neil Roche and wife Roxanne of Kaplan; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Curtis Roche; her parents, Adam Abshire, Sr. and Alecia Thibeaux Abshire; her son, Jayce Roche; and five brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity Street, (337) 893-3777, will be handling the arrangements.
