Lorraine Bonin Mulkey

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 10:00 AM until services and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.

A native of Avery Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Mulkey passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 4:56 PM in a New Iberia hospital. She was a tour guide at Avery Island Jungle Gardens for many years. She loved baking, canning foods, fishing and going to the casino.

She is survived by her husband, Albert P. Mulkey, Sr.; her daughters, Monica Proctor and Kate Mulkey; her son, Albert P. Mulkey, Jr. and his wife Brooke; her sister, Nettie Bonin all of New Iberia; her brother, Raymond Bonin of Avery Island; her grandchildren, Trent Landry, Matthew Landry, Beau Landry, Jamie Mulkey and Ashley Pelous all of New Iberia and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramis and Elda Blanchard Bonin.

Pallbearers will be Josh Davidson, Raymond Bonin, Beau Landry, Matthew Landry, TyBonin and Monica Proctor.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to defer funeral expenses.
