Broussard " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ronald C. Reaux, the former Rita Louise Larriviere, 74, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. Louis J. Richard officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed by the Ladies Altar Society at 7:00PM and will resume on Friday from 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum. A native and resident of Youngsville, Louise passed away at 1:45AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at a local healthcare facility with her family by her side after a long courageous battle and never once complained. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and was a Charter member of the Pooyie Committee and the Broussard Community Fair for 20 years. She worked for All American Assurance Insurance Company for ten years, as well as for Superior Oil Company and Mobil Oil Company for 20 years. Mrs. Reaux enjoyed attending all of the numerous sporting events for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An incredibly devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved cooking Sunday dinner for the whole family. She lived for her family and spoiled them every chance she got. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald C. Reaux; two sons, Byron James Reaux and wife Brenda Trahan Reaux, who was like a daughter to her, and Doyle Anthony Reaux; four grandchildren, Brandon Justin Reaux, Brock Jacob Reaux, Brady Jude Reaux and Lotie Teresa Reaux; and four great-grandchildren, Brette Lane Reaux, Kinley Louise Reaux, Landon Charles Reaux and Kael Jacob Reaux. She was preceded in death by her parents, Justin John Larriviere and Laurence Delana Larriviere. The gift bearers for the Mass will be her great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be Byron James Reaux, Doyle Anthony Reaux, Brandon Justin Reaux, Brock Jacob Reaux, Brady Jude Reaux and Neil P. Reaux, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Lotie Teresa Reaux, R.J. Pesson, Richard Reaux and Malcolm Reaux. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of Louisiana Extended Care Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Reaux. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Louises name to St. Cecilia School Foundation, 302 W. Main Street, Broussard, LA 70518.
