Wendi Frederick Romero New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Noel Noyd Frederick the former Zula Lopez, Age 92, at 12:30PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan Derouen of Church on the Rock officiating followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 2:00PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre with Father Ralph Landry officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday February 8, 2012 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Vermilion Parish and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Frederick died Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 8:25AM at Maison de Lafayette guest home in Lafayette surrounded by her family. Mrs. Frederick was a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a phenomenal seamstress and enjoyed many aspects of handcrafting. Her style was simplistic yet detailed. Her greatest pleasure was being in the company of those she cherished the most, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy for them and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Frederick is survived by her four sons; Gerald Frederick and wife Catherine, Donald Frederick and wife Gail, Thomas Dale Frederick and wife May and Terry Frederick and wife Tammy, three daughters; Barbara F. Elkhan, Jan F. Gautreaux and husband Clif, Geri Frederick and companion Johnny Romero, two brothers; Felix and Johnny Lopez, three sisters; Rose L. Toups, Lucinell L. Trahan and Yvonne L. Hebert. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Frederick was preceded in death by her spouse Noel Noyd Frederick, one son; Manuel M.C. Curtis Frederick, one daughter-in-law; Glenda Menard Frederick, one granddaughter; Dawn Marie Frederick, one grandson; Casey Joseph Frederick, parents; Albert and Nolia Mayard Lopez and one brother; Maxie Lopez. Pallbearers will be Kim, JR, Donnie, Scott, Troy and Devlin Frederick, Chad Dugas and Cody Horn. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald, Donald, Dale and Terry Frederick, Clif Gautreaux and Johnny Romero.
