New Iberia " Memorial services will be conducted for Mrs. Emery Bernard, the former Aline Kerr, 81, on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Patrick Burke officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Peters Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 1:00 PM until services. A native of Oklahoma City, OK, former resident of New Iberia and a resident of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:40 AM in a Lafayette hospital from an extended illness. She was 1947 graduate of Mount Carmel Academy in New Iberia. She is survived by her husband, Emery Bernard of Lafayette; her sons, Emery Bernard, Jr. and his wife Mary Beth, Christopher Allen Bernard and his wife Beth all of Lafayette and Sidney Bernard of Colorado Springs, CO; her cousin, Marie Elise Faulk of New Iberia; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph L. Kerr, Sr. and Aline C. Harry Kerr. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
