Youngsville " Funeral Services for Mrs. Porfirio Garcia the former Benith Trahan, 84, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, February 20, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery of Milton. Mrs. Garcia a native of Maurice and a resident of Youngsville died at 12:00PM on Friday, February 17, 2012 at her residence. She was known for her enjoyment of animals. She is survived by her husband, Porfirio Garcia of Youngsville; four sons, Eugene Garcia of Broussard, Edgar Garcia of Broussard, Edward Garcia of Youngsville, and Paul Garcia of Abbeville; two brothers, Dudley Trahan of Lafayette and Dave Trahan of Los Lunas, NM; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest E. and Edia Broussard Trahan; three brothers, Otsa Trahan, Elias Trahan, and Enice Trahan; and three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Claudia Vincent, Lea Trahan, and Mrs. George Adelaide Abraham. Serving as pallbearers will be Edgar Garcia, Edward Garcia, Eugene Garcia, Paul Garcia, David Garcia, and Eddie Garcia. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangement .
