Lafayette - Funeral Services for Lena Lea Richard Guidry Gwin, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday February 23, 2012 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy. Lafayette, La 70508 with Rev. Barry Crochet, Pastor of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church of Coteau, LA officiating. Visitation will be observed on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 8:00AM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau, LA. A native of Grosse Isle/Abbeville, La and longtime resident of Lafayette, LA, Lena passed away peacefully on Sunday February 19, 2012 at Lafayette General Hospital. She worked as a sales associate in the Womens Department at Abdallas Lafayette Downtown, and also at Wilsons Department Store in Lafayette, LA. She was a member of Alpha Iota Chapter of Lafayette and served as President and she was also a member of the Golden Age Club where she was a past Queen, she loved to dance, travel and play pokeno. She was a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Scott, LA. She is survived by her two sons, Dwayne Guidry and wife Cathy, Lafayette, LA, Dwight Guidry and wife, Melody, Rayne, LA; her sister Margery Romero and husband Fred Romero, Anna Belle Breaux and her husband Donald Breaux. Her six grandchildren; Garrett Guidry and his wife Yvette, Kirk Guidry and his wife Shylah, Misti Gravouia and her husband Ryan, Courtni Guidry, Jesse Guidry, and Danielle Moss and her husband Asa; and great-grandchildren, Kaylin Guidry, Grace Guidry, Jade Lynn Guidry, Anna-Kate Moss and Asa Moss III and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Saule and Amy Richard, infant brother Huey Richard, brother Elton Richard, and sister, Lillian Rodriquez, her first husband, James W. Guidry and great-grandchild, Briana Catherine Guidry Serving as pallbearers will be Dwayne Guidry, Dwight Guidry, Garrett Guidry, Kirk Guidry, Jesse Guidry, Mike Breaux and Tim Breaux.
