A current resident of New Iberia and a native and longtime resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Ansley died Monday February 27, 2012 at 2:45PM at Dauterive hospital.
Everett, a man of faith and an active member of the community, enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. He was an avid Saints and LSU Tiger fan. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict having served as a medic in the U.S. Navy. He was also a member and past commander of the VFW Lee Gautreaux Post 8150 in Jeanerette. He retired from Cabot Corporation after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Felicia Fee Thompson Ansley of New Iberia, children, Melanie A. Aymond and husband Donald of Jeanerette, Michael P. Ansley and wife Phyllis of Arlington, Texas, Phyllis A. Gambino and husband Christopher of New Orleans, Kim A. Pourciau and husband Glenn of New Iberia, Everett C. Ansley III of Arlington, Texas, Michelle A. Bishop of Charenton; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Ansley Sr. and Lucille Savoy Ansley and two sisters, Doris A. Simoneaux and Shirley Ansley.
Pallbearers will be Everett C. Ansley III, Scott and Tyler Landry, Matthew and Cory Gambino and Donald Aymond.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Ansley, Spencer Bishop, Christopher Gambino and Glenn Pourciau.
