Abbeville " Funeral services for Mrs. Mazie Horace Necessary 101, will be held Saturday May 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church with Rev. M.C. Wright officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday May 26, 2012 from 9:00 AM until time of services at the Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church, burial will be held in the Carter Lewis Cemetery. Mrs. Mazie was a lifelong resident of Abbeville and was a faithful and devoted member of the Greater Pleasant Green Baptist Church serving as a Deaconess for over 50 years. She is survived by five daughters Lucille Griffin of Abbeville, Beverly and her husband Arthur Smiyh of Lafayette, Annetta and her husband Clagis Bernard of Lafayette, Alfreda Lewis of Houston, and Majorie and her husband Alton Smith of Houston; her son Warren Necessary Jr. of Abbeville; six grandchildren one she raised as a daughter Charmaine Denise Griffin; three great grandchildren; a special niece Jeannette Johnson, and her close neighbors and friends Mr. and Mrs. Chris Levine, and a host of nieces, nephews , relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Necessary Sr., her parents Michael and Ida Jones Horace; sisters Mable Horace, Ida Mae Horace, Bessie Mae Johnson, and Peggy Horace. Serving as pallbearers will be Arthur J. Smith Jr., Richard Brian Griffin, Todd Smith, Alex Herring III, Clagis Herring, and Timothy Eaglin; honorary pallbearers will be Warren Necessary Jr., Arthur Smith Sr., Clagis Bernard, Alton Smith, and Alex Herring II.
