New Iberia " Funeral Services for Mr. Francis Theriot, 82, will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, April 30, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wanda and Bishop Drew Rousse officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 9:00AM until service time. A native of Catahoula and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Theriot passed away at 4:30PM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Iberia Medical Center. He enjoyed watching sports and westerns. He is survived by his children, Frances Ann Romero and husband Ivy John Romero, Jr., Jimmie Theriot and wife Theresa and Delores Prados and husband Randy, all of New Iberia; his daughter/sister-in-law, Alice Hoofard and husband Clyde of New Iberia; his brother, Julian Yam Theriot, Sr. and wife Annie Jane of New Iberia; grandchildren, Francine Vargas, Ivy John Romero III, Eric Oubre, Elizabeth Oubre, Patricia Theriot, Kyle Theriot, Heather Prados Bertrand, Hannah Prados, Matthew Prados, Marissa Prados and Tabbitha Hoofard; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Romero, Ilijah Romero, Jaquline Romero Vargas, Joshua Haydel, Alyssa Theriot, Alex Bertrand and Kourtney Prados. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Owens Theriot; his children, Eddie Theriot, Adam Theriot and Peggy Theriot; granddaughter, Karen Louise Theriot; his parents, Joseph D. and Dora Picard Theriot; five sisters, Olivia Sonnier, Julie Marks, Celina Marks, Carmelite Latiolais and Matilda Theriot; and three brothers, Oscar Theriot, Jr., Martin Theriot, Sr. and Jimmy Theriot. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmie Theriot, Kyle Theriot, Matthew Prados, Randy Prados, Ivy Romero III and Sergio Vargas. Honorary pallbearer will be Julian Yam Theriot, Sr. David Funeral Home of New Iberia at 1101 Trotter Street, (337) 369-6336, is in charge of arrangements.
