Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for U. L. Joseph Derouen, Jr., 64, on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in St. John Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 3:30 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 8:00 AM until services. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Derouen died on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at 11:23 AM in a New Iberia hospital. He was a welder and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking making jewelry, spending time with his family and ministering to friends. He is survived by his wife Frances Guidry Derouen of Jeanerette; his children, Tisa Maturin and her husband Mark of New Iberia, Scott Derouen and his wife Brandi of Coteau, Heather Louviere and her husband Jack, Brandie Broussard and her husband DeJean and Regina LaBiche and her husband Roy all of New Iberia; his brothers, Sherwood Derouen and his wife Linda of Jeanerette and Ricky Derouen and his wife Mary of New Iberia; his sisters, Lorena Breaux and her husband John of Franklin, Lovinia Pepper and her husband Randy and Sandra Tran and her husband Hoa all of Jeanerette and his sister-in-law, Brenda Derouen of Erath. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, U. L. Derouen, Sr. and Beulah LeBlanc Derouen and his brothers, Raywood Derouen and Elwood M. Boo Boo Derouen. Pallbearers will be Jack Louviere, DeJean Broussard, Roy LaBiche, Dustin Derouen, Johnathan Maturin and Zachary Maturin. Honorary pallbearers will be Brother Glenn Perret, Alvin Landry and Alcee Prejean. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St. (337) 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
