William K. Rich Jr.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2012, from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will resume on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 8:00 AM until services.

Born on January 12, 1944 in Minden, LA, lived in Homer, LA in his earlier years and a longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Rich died on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 4:55 AM at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather. He worked in the oil field industry for 25 years. He lived life to the fullest. He was a great outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting all of his life. He lived for the thrill of the hunt. He took great pride as President of G & G Hunting Club in Homer for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy DeSherlia Rich of New Iberia; his mother, Dorothy A. Rich of New Iberia; his daughters, Rebecca Rich Dufrene and her husband Gable of New Orleans and Brenda Duncan Barthelemy and her husband Joe of New Iberia; his sons, William Ken Rich and his wife Shannon, Roger Duncan and his wife Laurie all of New Iberia and Mark Rich and his wife Linda of New Orleans.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Heather Dufrene, Jodie Barthelemy Olivier, Brittany Duncan Robinson, Chase Barthelemy, Chad Dufrene, Bethany Duncan Davis, Brayton Duncan, Chelsea Rich, Erica Rich, Jolie Rich and Kason Rich and his great grandchildren, Aleici Olivier, Hayden Patterson, Kruz Olivier, Kairen Rich, Noah Barthelemy, Railey Robinson and Louis Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his father, William K. Rich, Sr.; his brother, Robert Glenn Rich and his sister, Delores Odom.

Pallbearers will be Ken Rich, Roger Duncan, Joe Barthelemy, Chase Barthelemy, Brayton Duncan and Chad Dufrene.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Daigle, Mark Rich, Gable Dufrene and members of the G & G Hunting Club.
