Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Harold James Landry, 73, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Dismas Mauk officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Landry passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 9:11 PM at his residence. Prior to retirement he owned and operated Landrys Furniture and Appliance Center for 30 years. He coached little league baseball and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved camping and fishing. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Webre Landry of Jeanerette; his daughter, Jeanne L. Shelton and her husband Robert of Jeanerette; his sons, Jeff P. Landry and his wife Paige of Jeanerette and Chris Landry and his wife Allison of Youngsville; his sisters, Catherine Bonin, Barbara Mestayer, Leah Bonin and Inez Sis McDaniel; his grandchildren, Eric Shelton, Maggie Shelton Irving and her husband Sammuel, John Shelton, Lauren Landry, Victoria Landry and Danielle Landry and his great grandchildren, Austin Irving, Abby Irving and Amy Irving. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis E. and Inez Brown Landry; his daughter, Amy Louise Landry; his brothers, Kenneth Joseph Landry, Sr. and Allen Emanuel Landry. Pallbearers will be Patrick Landry, Doug Derouen, John Landry, Norbert LeJeune, Pat Napier and Norman Brignac. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Broussard, Frank Guiberteau and Gerald Hebert.
