Viola Granger Hebert

Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Theonice Hebert the former Viola Granger, 87, will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Our Lady Perpetual Catholic Church in Leroy with Fr. Gregory Simeon officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Leroy.

Mrs. Viola, better known as La-La passed away peacefully at 8:32PM on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Maison Du Monde Living Center. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her family most of all, especially her grandchildren and her very special godchild. She was a devoted mother who always put family first and had a deep and abiding faith in our Lord and Savior. She always enjoyed a trip to the casino, eating out with family and friends, and playing pokeno with her friends. She was a meticulous seamstress with an eye for perfection.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Chuck Hebert and his wife Sherlyn of Frisco, TX and Carl Hebert and his wife Mona of Meaux; two sisters, Luby Lou and her husband Diones Don Broussard of Maurice and Grace Hebert of Marguoin; three grandchildren, Carrie Hebert, Kristina Hebert, and Adrienne Hebert; and a very special godchild, Carolyn Caye Dwyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theonice Boz Hebert; her parents, Leonice and Rosa Viator Granger; and three brothers, Lloyd Granger, John Granger, and Eugene Granger.

Serving as pallbearers will be Floyd Bourque, Christopher Dwyer, Johnny Dwyer, John M. Hebert, Randy Domingue, and Jonathan Adams.

The family wishes to acknowledge the staff at Maison Du Monde Living Center and Heart of Hospice. whose care and understanding during the past year has made a very difficult time in our lives bearable.
