Peggy Buford Dugas

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home in Loreauville on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 7:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM.

A native and resident of Coteau Holmes, Mrs. Dugas died at 12:25am Thursday, December 20, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Dugas was retired from the Iberia Parish School Board and the Daily Iberian. She was an avid reader and gardener. She enjoyed genealogy and sewing. Despite all of her hobbies, she loved her family the most.

She is survived by her three children, Kim D. Ryan and husband Mark of Slidell, Joel J. Dugas and wife Fran of Loreauville, and Lee L. Rocky Dugas II and wife Alicia of Howard, Ohio. Brothers, Alfred Jay Buford Jr. and wife Becky of Freeport, Florida, and Murphy Ray Buford and wife Glenna of Concord, California. Sister, Edie B. Gerbracht of Las Vegas, Nevada. Grandchildren, Jake Dugas and wife Amanda of Coteau Holmes, Nathan and Kelly Ryan of Slidell, Emmalea, Catherine, John, Matthew Dugas of Loreauville; Alex and Lee L. Trey Dugas III of Savannah, Georgia, and Jackson, Shelby, Marlee Dugas of Howard, Ohio. Great grandchild, Gryffin Sandage.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee L. Dugas, parents Alfred Buford and Katie Daigle Buford.

Pallbearers will be Jake, John, and Matthew Dugas, Nathan Ryan, Lee Louis Dugas, III and Lloyd Bienvenue.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Joel and Lee L. Rocky Dugas, Mark Ryan, Gryffin Sandage and Jackson Dugas.
