Della Soileau Meaux

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00PM at St. Therese Catholic Church for Della Meaux, the former Della Soileau, with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville from 9:00AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 until time of service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia, La. Mrs. Meaux a native of Ville Platte and a resident of Abbeville passed away at 8:15AM on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Vermilion Health Care in Nunez. Della was a former restaurant owner and operator in New Iberia, La. She is survived by her granddaughter, Jackie Winters of Long Island, New York; sister, Gladys Keys from Louisville, Kentucky; and two great-grandchildren, Crystal Markowski and Matthew Markowski, both of Long Island, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Meaux; her parents, Kossuth and Alice Fontenot Soileau; three sisters, Alice Sharpy, Bealuh Broussard, and Eula Holzman,; and three brothers, Louis Soileau, Delta Soileau, and Dudley Soileau.
