Lafayette- Funeral Services for Vergie Thibodeaux Huval, 82, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, beginning at 9:00AM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM, until 9:00PM and will resume at 8:00AM Friday, November 30, 2012 until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow services at Calvary Cemetery. A longtime resident of Lafayette Mrs. Huval passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at her residence surrounded by family and loved ones. She loved to raise birds and flowers; was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Douglas J. Huval of Lafayette, LA; children, Kenneth Benoit and his wife Dale of Carencro, LA, Herman Barrilleaux of Lafayette, LA, Allison White and her husband John of Denham Springs, LA, Donald Huval of Lafayette, LA, Larry Huval and wife Debbie of Rayne, LA, Marty Huval and his wife Patty of Judice, LA; daughter-in-law Sarah Benoit of Lafayette, LA; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nester Thibodeaux and Mary Guidry Thibodeaux; son Andrew Benoit; four brothers and one sister. Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Huval, Donald Huval, Larry Huval, Blaise Huval, Dylan White and Jake Broussard. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Touchet.
