Mark J. Leblanc, Sr.

A Native and lifelong resident of Erath Mr. LeBlanc died at 6:22PM on Monday, August 20, 2012 at a Lafayette Hospital. Mark was a friendly smiling face to his community who was known for his love to help people. He was a Jack of all trades and was a very good and honest carpenter. He also knew electricity and plumbing. He was a very great person, family man, husband, father, and wonderful grandfather. Mark was currently employed with IOS of Erath. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He loved to go hunting with his Son; was a big 49ers fan; and had a passion for horse racing.

He is survived his wife of 29 years, Donna Hebert LeBlanc of Erath; two sons, Mark J. LeBlanc, Jr. of Erath and Elmo J. LeBlanc of Erath; a daughter, Tiffany LeBlanc Meaux and her husband Erik of Abbeville; his mother, Myrtis Abshire LeBlanc of Erath; a granddaughter, Madeline Meaux of Abbeville; two brothers, Brent LeBlanc and his wife Stacy of Erath and Steven LeBlanc and his wife Manique of Erath; a sister, Patricia McLeod and her husband Don of Abbeville; his mother and father in law, Edward and Shirley Hebert; a brother in law, Brent Hebert; two sister in laws, Kimberly and her husband David Potier and Sharon and her husband Scott Belaire; and his Paternal grandmother, Loula Hollier.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmo LeBlanc; paternal grandparents, Clement and Lucy LeBlanc; his maternal grandfather, Avery Abshire; and an infant sibling.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steven LeBlanc, Brenton Hebert, David Potier, Scott Belaire, Harold Joe Lange, Jacob Landry, Everett Curol, and Randy Toups.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brent LeBlanc, Jay Segura, and all of IOS employees.

In Lieu of flowers an account has been set up at Bank of Erath for the benefit of Mark LeBlanc, Sr. for funeral arrangements and medical expenses.
