Thomas Herbert Rochon, Sr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 12:00 PM.

A native of Olivier and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Rochon died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 5:30 AM at his residence. He retired after 45 years of employment with Morton Chemical.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Iona Pellerin Rochon of New Iberia; his sons, James R. Rochon and his wife Sylvia of Carencro, Jules V. Rochon and his wife Maria of San Antonio, TX and Thomas H. Rochon, Jr. and his wife Jonie of New Iberia; his daughters, Evelyn Theresa Broussard of New Iberia, Kathleen S. DeRouen and her husband Joseph T. of Youngsville and Sharon Pellerin and her husband J. R., Jr. of Lake Charles and his daughter-in-law, Mary Bertha Rochon of New Iberia. He is also survived by two half-brothers; 14 grandhilcren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guilbert Rochon, Sr. and Ethel Senette Rochon; his sons, Clyde, Calvin M. and Thomas Gary Rochon; his brother, Peter Rochon and hishalf-brother Guilbert Rochon, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Rochon, Jr., Cory Broussard, James R. Pellerin, Jr., James R. Rochon, Guy A. Pellerin and Joseph T. DeRouen, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Broussard, John E. Broussard, II, Sean P. Rochon and Justin W. Rochon.
