Erath-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Harold Joseph LeBlanc, 88, was held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation was held Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary held at 7:00PM. Visitation was continued Monday, February 11, 2013 from 8:00AM until time of the service . Interment followed at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and resident of Erath, Mr. LeBlanc passed away at 6:45AM on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was passionate about camping and traveling with his wife. He had a talent for rebuilding small engines, focusing the majority of his time on lawnmowers. Mr. LeBlanc was a Tool Pusher with Shell Oil Company until his retirement and a member of the American Legion. He was survived by two sons, Harold J. "Bud" LeBlanc, Jr. and his wife, Alice of Abbeville , and Stevie LeBlanc of Dallas, Texas: one daughter, Mary Kay L. Champagne and her husband, Wayne: two sisters, Melba Bill LeBlanc of Erath and Lona Faye Papoo L Mavernac and her husband Leonard. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild, and a very special friend, Beverly Guidry Collat. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Darlin Broussard LeBlanc, his parents, Aristide Paul and Olita Bergeron LeBlanc, one brother, Joseph Paul LeBlanc, and his daughter, Roy Lynn LeBlanc Moore. Honored to serve as his pallbearers were Kenny Moore, Scotty Moore, Corey LeBlanc, Buddy Champagne, Beau Champagne, and Kent Rodriguez.
