Joseph "Joe" Jerome Colletti Sr.

Funeral services for Joseph Jerome Colletti Sr., age 81 will be held on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at 2:30pm at David Funeral Home of New Iberia with Father Ed Degeyter to serve as the officiant. Visitation will begin Tuesday morning at 9:00am with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00am. Interment with Military Graveside Honors provided by VFW Post 1982 will follow funeral services at Beau Pre Memorial Park.

A native and long time resident of Jeanerette, Joe as he was affectionately known, passed away on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 9:10am at a local healthcare facility with his family at his side. Mr. Colletti was a member of the VFW having served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Joe was a local business man and avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening when he wasnt hunting or fishing. He loved living life, staying busy, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include longtime friend and companion, Joyce Weber of Jeanerette; children, Joe J. Colletti Jr. and wife Jacqueline of Poland, Ohio, Kim C. Ragan and husband Tim of Jeanerette, Jon R. Colletti and Fiance Belinda Romero of New Iberia, Kris C. Suard and husband Neil Jr. of Houma, Jay C. Colletti and companion Lisa Durocher of Lydia, Jad Colletti and wife Stacie of New Iberia, and Keri C. Brown and husband Todd of New Iberia; two sisters, Mamie Colletti Landry and Sarah Colletti Migues both of Jeanerette; 21 grandchildren, Joseph III, Kay, Jenny, Virginia, Victoria, Jeff, Shari, Mandi, Beau, Kari, Joshua, Matthew, Jay Jr., Kali, Karli, Kylie, Christopher, Cole, Zachary, Austin, and Kloe; and 14 great grandchildren, Aiden, Zoe, Sophia, Isabella, Thomas, Isabella, Tate, Emmalyn, Lyla, Alex, Aiden, Jillian, Kaylin, Megan, and Ashton.

Mr. Colletti is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Cunningham Colletti, parents Rosario Colletti Sr. and Sarah Cullotta Colletti; three brothers, Nicholas Colletti, Anthony Colletti, Ross Colletti; and one sister, Camella Hebert.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Collettis grandsons; Joseph J Colletti III, Jay C. Colletti Jr., Joshua Rosamond, Matthew French, Zachary and Austin Brown, Jeff Ragan, and Christopher Colletti.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Eldridge, Gene Migues, Bret, Rocky, and Johnny Bishop, Carol and Ricky Gravois, G.A. Fortier, Jerome Fitch, Pat Napier, Guy Hebert, Eldridge Louviere, Al Landry, and Jack Gibbons.

A special thanks to Heart of Hospice, and the 2 nd Floor Nurses at Iberia Medical Center especially Kayla for their excellent care and compassion.
