Abbeville- Funeral Services for Ray Allen Penn, will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, September 21, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tim Marcantel officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 8 AM until the time of the services. Burial will follow in St. Paul Mausoleum. A Native of Crowley and resident of Abbeville, he worked for Vermilion Parish Police Jury for most of his life as a heavy equipment operator before moving to Rayne. He is survived by his long time companion, Wilma Normand of Rayne; four sons, Michael Wayne Penn and his wife, Sarah, of Lyons Point, La., Timothy Ray Penn and his wife, Bonnie of Lake Arthur, La., Darren Charles Penn of Crowley, La., and Dennis Penn of Florida; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Ross of Huntsville, Alabama; one step-son, Dennis Oday Normand, and his companion, Maggie, of Church Point, La.; four step-Daughters, Thelma Normand and her companion, Willard of Rayne, La., Shirley Normand of Rayne, Mary Trahan and her husband, Bryan of Rayne, La. Renee Nero and her husband, Donnie of Rayne; brother, James W. Penn of Midland, La.; two sisters, Joyce Benoit of Morse, La. And Marie Broussard and her husband, Herbert of Midland, La; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Paul Penn and Mamie Comeaux Penn; his wife, Sharon Leblanc Penn; two brothers, Fred Penn and Crawford Penn; and one sister, Grace Broussard.
