Dallas Joseph Gary, Sr.

Lafayette " Funeral services will be held for Mr. Dallas Gary Sr., 92, Wednesday April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM in David Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 6:30 PM and Wednesday from 8:00 am until time of services. A native of Maurice and a resident of Youngsville, he was retired from the US Army after twenty five years of service, after retirement he and his son opened Garys Paint and Body Shop. Mr. Gary passed away on March 29, 2013 at his residence in Youngsville surrounded by his family. Survivors include his son Dallas Gary Jr. and his wife Priscilla of Youngsville; his niece and Godchild Gladys G. Landry of New Iberia; and his companion of eight years Della B. Comeaux of Youngsville. He was preceded in death by his parents Emadice and Eve Patten Gary; his first wife Adas S. Gary; his second wife Norma S. Gary; two brothers Dennis and Robley Gary; and his adopted brother Wallace Trahan. Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Bridges, Randall Boutte, Randy Elias, Brain Derouen, Brandon Elias, and Brett Elias. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ethan Derouen. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Highway (337) 837-9887 will be in charge of the arrangements.
