Louella Denais Bourque

Delcambre- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. John F. Bourque, the former, Louella Denais, age 74, Friday February 15, 2013 at 2:00PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre with Rev. Herbert Bennerfield officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home- New Iberia beginning Thursday February 14, 2013 from 11:30AM until 9:00PM with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Friday February 15, 2013 from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Kaplan and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bourque died Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 6:25PM at Iberia Medical Center. Lou enjoyed trips to the casino and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bourque is survived by her children, Kirk Bourque of New Iberia; Nicole Smith and husband Brad of New Iberia; Stacie Bassette and and husband Jamie of Lagos, Nigeria; sister, Marlene Broussard and husband Darrel of Breaux Bridge; brother, Jerry Paul Denais of Kaplan; grandchildren, Shani Bodin, Hannah Bassette, Kennedie Bourque and step-granddaughter, Nia Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Bourque, her parents, Paul and Neda Fredrick Denais, her siblings, Mike Jimmy Denais and Ann Flavia Menard.

Honored to serve pallbearers are Brad Smith, Jamie Bassette, Tony Denais, Derland Broussard, Keith and Ryan Menard, Chris Moreaux and Craig Darby.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Kara Fredrick for the compassionate care that was given to Mrs. Bourque during her illness.
