Kenneth James €Œpabon” Guillot

New Iberia- Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth James Pabo n Guillot, age 68, will be held on Friday December 21, 2012 at David Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00AM with Father Ed Degeyter to serve as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday December 20, 2012 at 3:00PM and conclude at 10:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume at 8:00AM on Friday until service time.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Bayou Jack, Mr. Guillot passed away Tuesday December 18, 2012 at his residence at 11:52AM, after fighting a long battle with Parkinsons. He was the owner and operator of Guillot Roofing and Sheet metal, a business that served Acadiana for more than 60 Years. Along with his late son, Cory, he also owned Guillot Foam Insulators. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, socializing at Pegs and the Wheel Inn. In his younger days he was proud of being the outlaw that game wardens wanted but never caught. He enjoyed deer and hog hunting, running dogs, and shrimping. Although Mr. Guillot liked to pick and aggravate everyone, he was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his two daughters, Monique Khamphilavong and Husband Keo of New Iberia, and Lanette Lopez and husband Marshal of New Iberia; one brother, Wayne Joe Guillot and wife Colleen of Bayou Jack; daughter-in-law, Michelle LaCour and husband Ron of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brady Landry and his wife Stacy of Maurice, Kyle, Kaylon, and Matthew Thrushpet Khamphilavong, Colby, Donavan, and Gabrielle Lopez, Kamryn Guillot, Zoe and Bryce LaCour all of New Iberia; and two great grandchildren Blake Clair Landry and Karsyn Jane Landry.

Mr. Guillot is preceded in death by his wife, Mammie Romero Guillot; parents, Whitney and Mae Boudreaux Guillot; and one son, Cory Guillot.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Marshal, Colby, and Donavan Lopez, Keo and Kyle Khamphilavong, Ron LaCour, and Brady Landry.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mr. Guillots brother, Wayne Joe Guillot.
