Lafayette " A mass of Christian Burial for Theresa Lopez Romero, 84, will be held Saturday October 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Mouton officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday October 26, 2012 at 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited by Mr. Gene Picard at 7:00 PM, and will continue at 7:00 AM until time of services on Saturday. A resident of Youngsville Mrs. Romero died on Wednesday October 24, 2012 at her residence. She is survived by two daughters Diane and her husband Jimmy Stokes of Youngsville, and Sandy R. Labit and her companion Craig Ray of Winnfield La.; one sister Dorothy and her husband R.D. Verret of Lydia; her grandchildren Maureen and her husband Todd Talley, Wendell and his wife Allison LeBlanc, Johnny LeBlanc and his Companion Lisa Delcambre, Gerard and his wife Christy LeBlanc, John and his wife Rachel Stokes, Danny and his wife Silvana Stokes, Tiffy and her husband Tommy Wynn, and Lacie and her husband Blake Boutte; two step grandchildren Josh and Dustin Romero; her great grandchildren Sadie Hollier, Lotie Reaux, Brennan LeBlanc, Tucker LeBlanc, Taylor LeBlanc, Kylan LeBlanc, Kinsley LeBlanc, Clayton Stokes, Leah Miller, Sela Stokes, Seth Stokes, Serena Stokes, Kennedy Wynn, Kaelyn Hutson, Issac Romero, Janzyn Romero, Jayden Romero, Jilyan Romero, and Julien Romero; and her great great grandchildren Paxton Stokes, Hunter Stokes, and Piper Stokes. Mrs. Romero was preceded in death by her husband Loyba Romero, her parents Honora and Ardella Boudreaux Lopez; her grandson Brian Labit Jr., her son-in-law Brian Labit; six brothers Simon, Dudley, Paul, Bea, Minus, and Bernie Lopez; two sisters Mickey Broussard, and Anita Romero. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny LeBlanc, Wendell LeBlanc, Gerard Leblanc, Blake Boutte, Brennan LeBlanc, and Kylan LeBlanc; honorary pallbearers will be Cebre Romero, Alex Romero, George Romero, Jimmy Stokes, Craig Ray and Tucker LeBlanc.
