Lafayette - Funeral Services will be held for Wilfred Bill Paul Doucet Jr., 65, at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the David Funeral Home Chapel at Lafayette. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM until 8:00PM. Mr. Doucet was a native of Jennings La. and a resident of Lafayette, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his residence. He was retired from Baker Huges after working in the oil industry for 41 years, prior to his illness he enjoyed playing golf, fishing although his tales were bigger than the fish he caught and his daily breakfast at T Coons, especially when accompanied by his son-in-law Johnny and his grandsons. Wilfreds most enjoyable time were being surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Dianne Daigle Doucet of Lafayette; his two daughters Christina and her husband Johnny Forestier of Youngsville and Andreea Doucet and her fiance Kody Arceneaux both of Lafayette; his step son Jessie and his wife Margie Guidry of Crowley; two brothers Kevin Doucet of Houston, and Michael Doucet of Slidell La.; four sisters Carol Lang of Lafayette, Angela Simon and Susan Clement both of Evangeline La., and Mary Vincent of Kaplan. He was also survived by his grandchildren Nicholas, Devin, and Connor Forestier, Lynsay Broussard, Caleb and his wife Ashley Guidry; two great grandchildren Kennedy Broussard and Bentley Guidry. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilfred Sr. and his wife Curlis Miller Doucet. His children wish to express their thanks to his caregivers especially his wife and our loving Mother who was ever present and Dr. Stephen Salopek, and Louisiana Hospice.
