Marcial J. "Con" Tauzin

Visitation will be on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 7:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 6:30 PM.

A native of Loreauville and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Tauzin passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 2:15 AM in a New Iberia nursing facility. He was a retired farmer, a gardner and a producer of livestock and poultry. He was an Usher at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church for 25 years. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Lula Belle Broussard Tauzin of New Iberia; his son, Blaine Tauzin and his wife Barbara of New Iberia; his grandson, Shane Tauzin and his wife Karen with her son T. J. Louviere all of New Iberia; his granddaughter, Amy Fenstermaker of Youngsville; his great grandson, hunter P. Tauzin of New Iberia and his great granddaughter, Jada Fenstermaker of New Iberia.

H e was preceded in death by his parents, J. B. Tauzin and Ivele Thibodeaux Tauzin; his sisters, Lorraine Dore, Lillian Dugas, Rena D. Broussard and Edmae Viator and his brother, Albert Dugas.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Michael Alvarez and Staff, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Staff, Dr. Paul E. Fenn, Hospice of Acadiana, Dr. Paul Zehnder, Jr., Lynn Rayburn, RN, Mark Wilkerson and John Deshotel, RN.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Neuville, Lawrence Dugas, Jr., Tommy Dugas, Hugh Andre, Shane Tauzin and T. J. Louviere.
