Cecile Stoutes Gaspard

A native of Gueydan and a resident Sugar Land, TX Mrs. Cecile died at 12:50 PM on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Sugar Land, TX. She was a devout member of Vermilion Gospel Tabernacle until she move to Texas and was known as a very uplifting person. She was loved by many whos lives she touched in some way.

She is survived by a son, Rodney S. Gaspard, Sr. and his wife Phyllis of Lake Charles; a daughter, Viola "Vi" Copeland of Sugar Land, TX; a sister, Clara Stoutes of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Cindy Kendall, Ricky Abshire, Rhonda Gaspard, and Rodney Sean Gaspard, Jr.; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene' John Gaspard; her parents, Ben and Eva Faulk Stoutes; two sisters, Eva Romero and Agnes Touchet: and a brother, William "Bill" Suire, Jr..

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rodney S. Gaspard, Sr. and Ricky Abshire.

Mrs. Gaspard requested that in leui of flowers donations be made to Scott Crosby ministeries.
