LOREAUVILLE Funeral services will be conducted for J.O. Neuville, Sr., 98, on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Onugebe officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. A native and resident of Loreauville Mr. Neuville died on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at AMG Specialty Hospital, Lafayette. J.O. was born on February 20, 1915 to Maurice Octave and Evelina Barras Neuville. He was an automobile salesman for many years and in 1969 he was a co-founder and president of Neuville Boat Works. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the camp. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Marie C. Neuville; his daughter Glenda N. Miguez and husband Steve, five sons, J.O. Neuville, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Errol Neuville and wife Roxanna, Lynn Neuville and wife Adrienne, Kerry Neuville, and Darrell Neuville and wife Leona all of Loreauville. Survivors also include 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ted Mark Neuville; his three brothers, Euzebe Neuville, Beauregard Neuville, and Albeo Broussard; nine sisters, Evelyn Bienvenu, Lyra Landry, Lita Judice, Norma Mestayer, Irma Granger, Ellion Berard, Lucette Dugas, Aline Braqauet and Stella Vaughn. Pallbearers are J.O. Neuville, Jr., Errol Neuville, Lynn Neuville, Darrell Neuville, Kerry Neuville, and Steve Miguez. The family would like to thank Mr. J.O.s caregivers, Laura Antoine, Rose Julien, Gwen Nora, Judy Reed, Amanda Simmons, Louise Stelly and Sylvia Broussard for the exceptional care and compassion given to him.
