Abbeville- Funeral services for James Jimmy Nathan Richard, 63, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday April 8, 2013 at Harvest Time Tabernacle, 901 Wildcat Drive, Abbeville, LA 70510 with Rev. Robert Wells officiating. Visitation will be held at Harvest Time Tabernacle on Sunday April 7, 2013 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM and will resume Monday morning beginning at 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Interment will follow the church service at St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville. Jimmy was born in Abbeville, LA on April 30, 1949. He graduated from Vermilion Catholic High School in 1967 and married his loving wife of 41 years, Delores on April 23, 1971. He loved fishing, hunting and was an entrepreneur, building and repairing boats for 10 years. In the early 90s he went into full-time ministry as the Associate Pastor at Harvest Time Tabernacle. He was also actively involved in evangelistic ministry, traveling and preaching in various parts of the United States and abroad. Jimmy was loved by many as Daddy & Paw Paw , as he had a heart full of compassion and cared for all he met. He never met a stranger, and was always genuinely interested in others. He is survived by his wife Delores Delino Richard of Abbeville; mother Dola Domingues Richard;oldest son, Scotty Richard and his wife Brooke, middle son Eric Richard, youngest son Ryan Richard and his wife Kim; twelve grandchildren, Ashlee Richard, Paige Richard, Alex Richard, Devin Richard, Kennedy Richard, Lexi Richard, Peighton Richard, Cooper Richard, Parker Richard, Aubri Richard and Maddox Richard; two sisters Kathy Richard Willis and Tammy Richard Landry; a brother, Danny Richard; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ivy Joseph Richard; brother Tommy Richard; maternal and paternal grandparents and one nephew Bryant Vincent. Pallbearers will be Chase Layperouse, Danny Richard, Andy Richard, Steven Delino, Jim Delino, Tommy Michel, Dustin Delino and Devin Richard.
