Youngsville " Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Robert H. Melancon, the former Adele Hidalgo Malagarie, 84, on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. by Deacon Jay Bergeron. Visitation will resume Wednesday at 8:00 AM until time of services. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum. A native of Milton and resident of Youngsville Mrs. Melancon passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She was a member of St. Annes Altar Society, and also the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW. Survivors include her husband; Robert H. Melancon, sons; Thomas J. Malagarie and his wife Taffy of Lenexa, Kansas, and John M. Malagarie and his wife Lorri of OFallon, Missouri, two daughters; Stephanie Malagarie Macaluso and her husband Anthony of Youngsville, LA, and Julie M. Ransonet of Lafayette, LA. Mrs. Melancon is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Mrs. Melancon was preceded in death by her first husband; Thomas J. Malagarie, Sr., parents; Ulyesses and Helen Broussard Hidalgo, three brothers; Sidney, John and Jessie Hidalgo, and one sister; Josie Hidalgo Vincent. Serving as pallbearers will be; Stephen Dugas, Patrick Ransonet, Donald Vincent, John Hidalgo, Ryan Malagarie and Andy Melancon. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Stephen Hidalgo, Anthony Hidalgo, Benny Vincent, Lyn Vincent, Mike Hidalgo, Brent Hidalgo, Travis Jones, Devin Melancon, and Jordan Sweat.
