Broussard- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:30PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Vinton Joseph Landry, 89, with Rev. Louis Richard as Celebrant. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 1:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume at 8:00AM on Wednesday until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow church services at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Landry passed away at his home in Broussard, LA on Monday, April 22, 2013. A devout Catholic; retired sugar cane farmer, retired Lafayette Parish Bus Driver and also a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by two daughters, Judy Benoit and her husband Terry of Jeanerette, LA and Lisa Denman and her husband Jerry of Broussard, LA; three sons, Gerald Landry and his wife Linda of Lafayette, LA, Ronnie Landry and his wife Claudette of Youngsville, LA and Tim Landry also of Youngsville, LA; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Gertrude Segura of Delcambre, LA and Mary Bergeaux of Broussard, LA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Toups Landry; parents, Adonis Landry and Eve Landry; brother, Nelson Landry; sisters, Girlie Garber and Grace Guilbeaux and one grandson, Jeremy Landry. Readings and Presentation of the Gifts will be done by Mr. Landrys granddaughters, Lynette Benoit Helms, Lindsay Landry Lejeune, Misti Landry Bryant and Morgan Landry. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Blaine Benoit, Blair Benoit, Justin Landry, Luke Landry, Joshua Landry and Jason Denman.
