Jeanerette- A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Wilfred J. Migues, Sr. age 80, on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Readers will be Nola Boudreaux and Lisa Rennert. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday April 29, 2013 at 4:00pm until 9:00pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 8:00am until service time.

A native of New Iberia and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Migues died Thursday April 25, 2013 at 10:20pm at a local healthcare facility. He was a machinist with Superior Fabricators, formerly Moresi Foundry for 30 years until his retirement. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and watching sports, especially baseball. Wil enjoyed watching the news with his neighbor while drinking a Miller Lite, collecting cans from neighborhood friends and loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Migues is survived by his son, Chris Migues and wife Sharon of Jeanerette; grandchildren, Brandon Saintes of New Iberia and Jamie Migues of Jeanerette; brothers, Raymond Migues and wife Druscilla of Bayou Vista; Earl Migues and wife Kathleen of Lydia and Eugene Migues and wife Linda ofJeanerette; sister, Anaise Rachal and late husband Frank Rachal of Bayou Vista; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Migues was preceded in death by his wife Louberta Breaux Migues, his son, Wilfred Boo Migues, Jr., his parents, Robert Migues, Sr. and Nola Derise Migues, siblings, Robert Migues, Jr., E.G. Migues and Elsie Stansbury.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Saintes, Richard Dickie Mannina, Eugene and Earl Migues, Jerry Little and Kevin Viator.

Honorary pallbearer will be John Viator, Jr.
