Babette Aubry Dauterive

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A Euolgy will be read in the funeral parlor on Thursday at 7:00 PM followed by the rosary at 7:15 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dauterive passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 1:52 AM at her residence. The highlight of her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dr. Eugene Dauterive of New Iberia; her daughters, Gene D. Collins and her husband Mike, Babette D. Broussard and her husband Ronnie all of New Iberia, Marie D. Freeman and her husband Dr. Mark Freeman of Gonzales and Melanie D. Sarris and her husband Victor of St. Augustine, FL; her sons, Eugene W. Dauterive, Jr. and his wife Lynn, Aubry Dauterive and Michael Dauterive all of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Michelle Reitzell and her husband Mike, Eugene W. Dauterive, III, Louis F. Dauterive, Elvin Beau Fontenot, III, Lauren F. Conn and her husband Matt, Weeks M. Collins, Jessica M. Hardy, W. Sean Hardy and his wife Deborah, Aubriel Dauterive, Joseph Dauterive, Heather Burnine, Nicole X. Sarris, Alex Sarris, Elizabeth Sarris, Nicholas E. Broussard and Kathryn M. Broussard; nine great grandchildren and her lifelong friend of 70 years, Margaret Bryant. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold George and Josephine Brown Aubry and two sisters, Joellyn A. Delcambre and Rene A. Vandiver.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Dauterive, Jr., Aubry Dauterive, Michael Dauterive, Elvin Beau Fontenot, Eugene Dauterive, III, Weeks Collins, Louis Dauterive, Sean Hardy, Alex Sarris, Nicholas E. Broussard and Joseph Dauterive.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Collins, Dr. Mark Freeman, Victor Sarris and Ronnie Broussard.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to EWTN at 5817 Old Leeds Rd. in Irondale, AL 35210-2164, New Iberia Milk Fund at The Daily Iberian or Catholic High Endowment Fund.
