Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Warren Poochie Hebert, age 91, on Monday May 27, 2013 at 1:00pm at David Funeral Home Chapel in Jeanerette. Military Graveside Rites will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Monday May 27, 2013 at 9:00am until the time of service.
A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Hebert died Thursday May 23, 2013 at 3:06pm at Iberia Medical Center. Mr. Hebert was a World War II Veteran having served in the U.S. Army and the 156 th Infantry Brigade. He was a past member of the American Legion Post 26 and V.F.W. LA Post 8150. He retired from Cabot Corporation as a purchasing agent after 32 ½ years of dedicated employment. Poochie was an avid outdoorsman; his hobbies included hunting and traveling.
Mr. Hebert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kelly Delcambre Hebert of Jeanerette; his daughters, Lanie Borel and husband Mark of New Iberia; Dwan Dooley and husband Baron and Dainna Hebert, all of Jeanerette; his son, Rusty Hebert of Loreauville; grandchildren, Brennan and Ariel Borel of New Iberia and Austin and Brittnie Dooley of Jeanerette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lillian Shoate Hebert, sisters, Mary Ruth Johnson and Ann Hebert, and his brother, Harold Hebert
Serving as pallbearers are Rusty Hebert, Brennan Borel, Mark Borel and Austin Dooley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Baron Dooley.
