Bertha Leblanc Dartez

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Doris Paul Dartez, the former, Bertha LeBlanc, age 86, on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at 1:00pm at David FuneralHome Chapel with Fr. Jude Halphen officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 5:00pm until 9:00pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume Wednesday May 22, 2013 at 9:00am until service time.

A native of Delcambre and long time resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dartez passed away Saturday May 18, 2013 at 7:35pm at her residence. Bertha was a parishioner of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post 335,VFW LA Post 1982-New Iberiaand the American Legion Unit Ladies Hat Club. She will be sadly missed by dear friends of her pokeno group.

Mrs. Dartez is survived by her son, Steve Dartez and wife Chiara of Haughton, LA; her brother, Harry LeBlanc and wife Delta of Covington, LA; daughter-in-law, Dawn Racca of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Shawn Dartez and wife Stephanie of El Dorado, AR; Matthew Dartez and wife Carly of Ruston, LA; Andrew Dartez of Little Rock, AR; Jeremy Dartez of Metairie, LA; Darian Dartez and Destin Duhon, both of Lafayette, LA and her great grandchild, Jackson Dartez of Metairie, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doris Paul Dartez, her son, Rodney Dartez, parents, Claude and Elmire Geoffroy LeBlanc and sisters, Audrey Nunez and Rella Johnson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn, Matthew, Andrew, Jeremy and Darian Dartez and Destin Duhon.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bryan Judice.
