Denise Nicole Sparrow Bessard

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing!! Timothy 4: 7-8. Denise died on June 2, 2013 after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Abbeville. Denise retired from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio in 2009. She was currently working as a Remote Coding Consultant for an Ohio firm.

She was survived by her loving husband, Michael John Bessard of Abbeville; Father, Roland Sparrow, Jr. of New Orleans, LA; mother, Joyce Roy of Cleveland, OH; a step daughter, Kimberly Bessard of Abbeville; a grandchild, Karlee Stewart of Abbeville; a brother, Dr. Christopher Sparrow of Tyler, TX; aunts, Josephine Benoit of Cleveland, OH, Madelle Robinson of New Orlean, LA , Rita Faye (Richard) Landry of New Iberia, and Verna (Henry) Jones of New Orleans, LA; uncles, Clarence (Doris) Benoit of Lafayette, Allen Sparrow of New Iberia, and Michael (Lynette) Sparrow New Orleans, LA; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Felix and Angelina Benoit; and her paternal grandparents, Roland Sparrow, Sr. and Eva Sparrow.
