Una Boutte Bourque

New Iberia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Willie Bourque, the former Una Boutte, age 92, Saturday June 8, 2013 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will begin Friday June 7, 2013 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30pm. Visitation will resume Saturday June 8, 2013 from 8:00am until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Ms. Una, as she was affectionately known at the nursing home, passed away at Belle Teche Nursing Home on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at 11:59pm. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Mrs. Bourque had been a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Ladies Altar Society in her younger years. Her fondest memories were working at Nereaux Interior Decorators, making and installing beautiful draperies and padded walls with matching drapery material. She also enjoyed being with her family and friends and has left behind very fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Mrs. Bourque is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Bourque Hebert and husband, Fernand (Ferdie) Hebert III and her special daughter-in-law, Connie Lancon Bourque Carter, both of New Iberia; seven grandchildren, Craig A. Hebert and wife Gloria, Chriss J. Hebert, Cheryl Hebert Geoffroy, David Bourque, Lisa Bourque Migues and husband Stacy, Michael Bourque and wife Beth, and Jennifer Bourque; eleven great grandchildren, Nicole Hebert Romero and husband Lane, Jacob Hebert and wife Leigh Ann, Kellie Geoffroy, Heather Geoffroy, Kalem Bourque, Hanna Bourque, Chelsea Bobbit, Ashlen Bourque, Brayden Bourque, Bree Hebert, and Scott Hebert III; three great great grandchildren, Aubrie Layne Romero, Lillian Lind, and Penelope Claire Hebert; and one sister, Lou Boutte Lopez.

Mrs. Bourque was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bourque and her 2 ^nd husband, Fernand Hebert Jr.; one son, Harold Bourque and one baby daughter, Eugenia Bourque; her father, Remus Boutte and her mother, Ava Boutte; her two brothers, Sterling and Stanley Boutte; four sisters, Eunice Boutte Romero, Verna Boutte Doucet, Lillie Boutte Langlinais, and Dorothy Boutte Dugas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Craig A. Hebert, Chriss J. Hebert, David Bourque, Michael Bourque, Jacob Hebert, and Lane Romero.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ferdie Hebert, Don Carter, and Stacy Migues.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ditch and his staff for their compassionate care over the years. The family would also like to thank the staff and workers at Belle Teche Nursing Home for the friendship and care extended to Ms. Una during her stay there; and also to Hospice Compassus for their care during her time of need.
