Florence Sonnier

Erath - A mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Albert Sonnier, the former Florence Flo LeBlanc, 87, on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 1:30PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath with Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will begin on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 8:30AM until time of service with a recitation of the rosary at 11:30AM. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Abbeville and former resident of Erath, Mrs. Sonnier passed away at her residence in Baton Rouge at 8:06AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Flo was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church , Erath Coffee Club, Past treasurer of the Erath Fourth of July Association, and member of the Vermilion Parish Womens Auxillary. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Landry and her husband, Glen of Baton Rouge, La.; two granddaughters, Leslie Landry Babin and her husband, Kenneth, of Baton Rouge, La. and Lauren Landry Dushman, and her husband, Andrew of The Woodlands, Texas; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Albert Burleigh Sonnier, Sr.; her son, Albert Burleigh Sonnier, Jr.; parents, Rose Clare and Alphonsine Barras LeBlanc; and her brother, Lloyd LeBlanc.
