Erath-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Dennis Louis Broussard, 85, on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10:00AM, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath with Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, June 28, 2013, from 4:30PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 7:00AM until time of service. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and resident of Erath Mr. Dennis passed away at Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Mr. Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved spending time with his family and friends. He retired from Coast Oil & Gas as a Drilling Supervisor in 1990. Mr. Dennis served our country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Derouen-Moss Post 279 of Erath. He is survived by his wife, Mitzie Dugas Broussard of Erath; daughter, Debbie B. Brushaber and her husband, Les of Erath; granddaughter, Blythe Romero of Erath; grandson, Damian Romero of Abbeville; and a great granddaughter, Zoe Romero of Erath. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lubria and Esma Hebert Broussard; grandson, Drew Romero; brothers, Edwin Broussard, Chester Broussard, and Harold Broussard; sisters, Enix Lemaire, Virgie Delcambre, and Doris Broussard. Pallbearers will be Damian Romero, Earl Chaisson, Jr., Mike Landry, Bradley Mergist, Bryan Broussard, and Marshall Delcambre.
