Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Alpha Vallot, Jr. will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, June 28, 2013 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, LA with Rev. Jason Mouton as Celebrant. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning at 8:00AM with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM until 10:00PM and will resume on Friday June 28, 2013 at 8:00AM until just prior to service time. Entombment will follow the church service at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Youngsville, LA. Mr. Vallot passed away on Monday, June 26, 2013 at his residence in Lafayette, LA. He was a lifelong resident of Lafayette where he served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Lafayette Parish Sheriffs Office for 28 years until his retirement. He was well known and will be forever remembered for his vegetable garden and the raising and selling of ducks and geese; as well having been a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Friend to many and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Melancon Vallot of Lafayette, LA; two sons, Ronnie Vallot and his wife, Jackie , Mike Vallot and his wife Cathy; daughter, Diane Vallot and her fiancee, David Garza all of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Chad Vallot and his wife, Renee, Joey Vallot and is wife, Rebecca, Michelle Savoy, Karrie Pope and her husband, Brian, Blaine Vallot and his wife, Theresa and Ronnie Vallot, Jr. and his wife Jessica; thirteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Verna Vallot Lasseigne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alpha Vallot, Sr. and Leah Menard Vallot; brothers, Alley Vallot and Curley Vallot, Sr.; sisters, Ruby Authument and Lorna Vallot. Pallbearers will be Tyler Vallot, Gentry Foreman, Hunter Savoy, Joey Vallot, Brian Pope and Blaine Vallot. Honorary pallbearers will be Lane Savoy, David Garza, Chad Vallot and Chase Vallot. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Mr. Vallots two daughters-in-law, Jackie Vallot and Cathy Vallot for their loving care and support shown to Mr. and Mrs. Vallot during his illness.
