George N. Seiber

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for George N. Seiber, age 73, Monday, July 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Green officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 12:00 PM till the time of service.

A native of St. Martinville, LA and a lifetime resident of New Iberia, George passed away at his residence Monday, July 1, 2013, at 1:27 AM surrounded by his family. He had a career in the oil and gas industry working in the wireline division for many years as a Completion Engineer, Pipe Recovery Hand and in Management Positions. George was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing, wood-working, traveling, going to casinos and doing mechanical work. Most of all George loved to spend time with his family and friends, eating at restaurants, and working out with friends at Dynamic Heath Spa.

He is survived by his step-mother Laurence (Blondie) Boutte Sieber of St. Martinville; three sons, Donnie and wife Lisa Seiber of Bristol, TN., Troy and wife Erika Seiber of Bologna, Italy, and Derek Sieber of St. Martinville; four step-children, David and wife Carmen White of New Iberia, Michael and wife Charmaine White of Jeanerette, Dean and wife Barbara of New Iberia, Donna and husband Ronald Peltier of New Iberia; three brothers, Gerald and wife Marsha Sieber of Lafayette, Kirk and wife Juanita Sieber of New Iberia, and Chuck and wife Rachelle Sieber of St. Martinville; four sisters, Jeanette S. Dore and Crystal S. Wiltz of St. Martinville, Helen and husband Eugene Labiche and Hazel Dupuy of New Iberia; 13 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife Dercy Landry Seiber, his parents George Sieber and Alice Oubre Sieber and his sister Myrtle Champagne of St. Martinville.
