Alejandro Barrios Sr.

New Iberia- Funeral Services for Mr. Alejandro Barrios Sr., age 71, will be held Sunday June 23, 2013 at 11:00am at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roland Fontenot to serve as the Officiant. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin on Saturday June 22, 2013 at 10:00am at David Funeral Home until services on Sunday June 23, 2013. David Funeral Home will remain open all night. Masonic Rites by Aurora Masonic Lodge 193 F&AM will take place Saturday June 22, 2013 at 7:00pm

A native of San Luis, Cuba and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Barrios passed away Wednesday June 19, 2013 at 3:30am at a local healthcare facility. Mr. Barrios was a welder for Dynamic Industries for 12 years and enjoyed his work. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Barrios was also a member of the Logia Solano Ramos Masonic Lodge of Pinar Del Rio, Cuba.

Survivors include his son, Alejandro Alex Barrios Jr. and wife Lindsey of New Iberia; granddaughter, Kirsten Barrios of New Iberia; brother, Felix Barrios of San Luis, Cuba; and sister Francisca Barrios of San Luis, Cuba.

He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Barrios; parents, Demetrio and Irene Barroso Barrios; and two brothers, Benito and Eloy Barrios.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
